NOW OPEN!!
The Fraser Coast Tourism Awards for Excellence event is widely regarded as the benchmark for events of a similar nature held throughout the Fraser Coast region, and last year some 35 tourism and associated businesses were recipients of awards in close to 30 separate categories.
These Awards provide you as a tourism operator with an excellent opportunity to not only benchmark your product against some of the best in the industry, but the awards also provide you with excellent promotional and development opportunities, with the opportunity to relax and have a good evening out with your friends and colleagues. The event will be held on Friday 12th October at the Hervey Bay RSL.
Nominations are due on Friday 22nd June 2012, and the Nomination Form, Entry Form and Submission Handbook can be downloaded

Register Now:
DestinationQ Forum
Tourism Fraser Coast encourages as many operators as possible to register for DestinationQ to ensure that the collective voice of the Fraser Coast is well represented and heard. This is your chance to shape the partnership between government and industry for Queensland's tourism and events industry.
On Friday, 11 May Tourism Minister Jann Stuckey announced the opening of registrations for the DestinationQ Forum in Cairns on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26, June.
The DestinationQ Forum brings government, industry bodies and operators together to re-shape tourism in Queensland. This working forum will develop a plan about how we will build tourism together.
Tourism Minister Jann Stuckey said "I would like to see a wide cross-section
of industry representatives at the forum so we can examine the key issues that
impact on tourism."
Expressions of interest are being sought from across the state. The aim is to have representation from a range of small, medium and large operators. Delegates from throughout Queensland and a broad range of tourism and event stakeholders are encouraged to register.
Register your interest to attend the DestinationQ Forum by COB Thursday 24 May. For more information and to register visit

Brisbane Caravan & Camping Show
Tourism Fraser Coast is attending the Brisbane Caravan & Camping Show at the RNA showgrounds again this year. The event commences on Wednesday 6th June and will finish on Tuesday 12th June.
The show is attended by up to 60 000 people each year and maintains a strong
focus on the South East QLD drive market.
Following the success of last year's event, Tourism Fraser Coast would like to offer operators with the opportunity of promoting their products on the Tourism Fraser Coast stand. Fraser Coast Opportunities
The Fraser Coast Opportunities partnership has been established with the goal of
attracting and encouraging business and creating opportunities for investment,
innovation and industry. In order to maintain the flow of information to
businesses, the Fraser Coast Opportunities enewsletter is distributed on a
monthly basis and provides information on the latest news and initiatives in
place to assist businesses in achieving their goals.
The enewsletter is designed to help keep the business community aware of events
taking place across the region, enabling them to maximise opportunities to
welcome visitors to the Fraser Coast. A business profile is also included toward
the end of each edition and that profile is copied across onto the soon to be
launched Fraser Coast Opportunities website. Business profiles allow a business
operator to put forward their story and gain valuable exposure, as well as
providing readers with ideas they may not previously have considered for their
own business.
Click
here to receive the Fraser Coast Opportunities enewsletter direct to
your inbox; or
yourself or another business operator for a business profile, or to receive the
most recent version of the Fraser Coast Opportunities enewsletter.
